About the Role

This position directs all tasks and staff involved in producing high-priority department initiatives, including identifying resources, creating project plans, managing external vendor relationships, providing status reports to key stakeholders, and managing projects to completion. The role supports marketing and communications strategies aligned with Renown’s Strategic Plan, as well as additional high-priority initiatives. As an internal project manager, this position ensures all tactics are on-brand and meet department quality standards, manages timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, and collaborates with department colleagues, service line administrators, and clinical staff.

The Senior Production Specialist reports to the Manager of Marketing and requires creativity, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in critical thinking, project management, and time management. Occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends may be required for after-hours production work, events, or focus groups.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously, sets priorities, identifies and addresses production problems, meets deadlines, and stays within budget.
  • Coordinates work of department specialists or outside vendors and assigns and manages the status of all tasks related to assigned projects.
  • Adheres to project agreements and creative briefs; creates effective and efficient project plans with input from strategists, operational leads, and marketing and communications leadership.
  • Manages project tasks, removes barriers to meeting goals, forecasts risks, and proposes mitigation strategies.
  • Effectively communicates project expectations to the production team and escalates concerns before deadlines are impacted.
  • Determines project kickoff and monitors milestones with the production team; tracks and reports production hours.
  • Conducts ongoing job status meetings to gather and share information with the production team and business partners.
  • Leads project debriefs and implements best practices to increase department productivity.
  • Collaborates with departments and the organization to produce and implement small to large-scale project plans.
  • Maintains high standards of marketing strategy, customer service, and satisfaction when working with internal and external colleagues.
  • Reviews content to ensure integrity standards, including tone, style, color usage, image quality, messaging accuracy, reproduction quality, and audience channel customization.
  • Exercises independent judgment to prioritize and manage workflow, meet deadlines and budget targets, and handle details with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Produces regular reports for department leadership to show progress toward goals and evolve strategies.
  • Adheres to system and department compliance policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participates in an on-call rotation.

This position does not provide patient care.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform job duties safely and effectively.
  • Experience creating compelling messages for different target demographics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field required. Proven experience in a related position may be exchanged for the degree.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, or Communications; three years of healthcare or marketing agency production experience preferred.
  • Strong, demonstrable project management skills and experience.
  • Experience managing vendors and freelancers.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects.
  • Valid State of Nevada driver’s license and ability to pass Renown Health’s Department of Motor Vehicle Report criteria.

Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Word) and ability to complete online learning requirements, access forms and policies, and enroll in benefits.
  • Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, SharePoint, or agency job production software.
