About the Role
Join Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems, as a Sr. Production Engineer (PE) at our Oklahoma City maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility. You’ll provide manufacturing process engineering work instructions and technical guidance to support the disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas-turbine engines, ensuring production delivery schedules are met.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical data to support production.
- Lead teams in reviewing and investigating process breakdowns; perform root cause analysis and corrective action for parts and processes not in control.
- Provide timely workscope definitions for repairs that are comprehensive, clear, concise, cost-effective, and meet customer-defined requirements.
- Approve complex work control documents for maintaining engine/module hardware.
- Authorize updates to control documents using standard work processes and approved technical references.
- Provide technical assistance for verifying proper configuration of engine/module hardware.
- Aid in training mechanics and operators on new technical data.
- Develop and utilize robust standard work and desktop procedures for PE processes.
- Build constructive partnerships with external vendors or partners to comply with quality standards and requirements.
- Aggregate and translate production data to maintain process control and drive production metrics through data-driven decisions.
- Perform other related functions or support other MRO production lines as required by management.
- Uphold and actively apply Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience OR a Master’s degree in a technical discipline with at least 3 years of the same experience.
- Willingness to work 1st shift (0700–1600) and extra time, including weekends, as necessary.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued DoD Secret security clearance (active clearance required after day 1).
- U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP.
- Operational experience in an MRO engine facility.
- Working knowledge of writing concise, easy-to-understand technical work instructions and interpreting blueprints/engineering drawings.
- Process or manufacturing experience on gas-turbine engines.
- Familiarity with water-jet systems, vision systems, peripheral sensors, and their construction/processes.
- Experience with production/industrial robots, automated systems, or coating applications, including high-temperature plasma spray coating operations, coating development, or related engineering.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD.

Schedule
