YipitData is the leading market research and analytics firm for the disruptive economy, analyzing billions of alternative data points daily to provide accurate, detailed insights on ridesharing, e-commerce marketplaces, payments, and more. Our on-demand insights team uses proprietary technology to deliver data relied upon by the world’s largest investment funds and corporations. We are a fast-growing technology company backed by The Carlyle Group and Norwest Venture Partners, with offices in NYC, Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, Seattle, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, and Singapore. We cultivate a people-centric culture focused on mastery, ownership, and transparency.

About the Role

YipitData is the leading alternative data platform for institutional investors, offering data feeds, an Investor Portal, and AI-powered agents and MCPs to redefine how investors discover, analyze, and act on data. Product Marketing sits at the intersection of Product and Revenue, ensuring alignment between what we build, how we position it, and how we sell it. As we expand into AI-native workflows, this function is critical in shaping how our platform is understood, launched, and sold to sophisticated buyers.

We're hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own this work for our Public Investor segment. You'll define positioning, lead product launches, and enable commercial teams to bring the next generation of investor workflows to market. This is a foundational role with significant scope, building core PMM capabilities for one of our most critical business lines.

Responsibilities

  • Own product positioning and go-to-market strategy for a new generation of AI and big data products, shaping how investors understand and adopt data feeds, the Investor Portal, and AI-powered solutions like agents and MCPs.
  • Define ideal customer profiles (ICPs) and tailor messaging to different investor segments (e.g., hedge funds vs. long-onlys).
  • Partner with Product, Revenue, and Insights teams to influence roadmap decisions based on market demand and customer insights.
  • Lead competitive intelligence across both traditional data providers and emerging AI platforms to define clear differentiation.
  • Collaborate on pricing and packaging across a multi-product platform spanning data, software, and AI.
  • Develop and scale high-impact sales enablement and marketing assets that help commercial teams communicate complex products with clarity.
  • Establish and track success metrics for GTM efforts (e.g., adoption, pipeline impact, win rates) and iterate based on performance.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing or a related role, ideally working on B2B, data, or AI-driven products.
  • Strong ability to translate complex, technical capabilities into compelling narratives.
  • Interest in or experience with AI and data products, with excitement for shaping how they are adopted in high-stakes investor workflows.
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where the playbook is still being written.
  • Experience working closely with product teams and influencing decisions early, not just at launch.
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, with ownership over outcomes end-to-end.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus Points if you…

  • Have experience working with hedge funds, asset managers, or financial data products.
  • Have a background in finance, investing, or data-driven research.
  • Have built or scaled product marketing in a B2B or data-driven environment.
  • Are familiar with frameworks like positioning, ICP development, or Jobs-to-Be-Done.
  • Hold an MBA or MS in Marketing.

Benefits

  • Flexible work hours and vacation policy.
  • Generous 401K match.
  • Parental leave.
  • Team events and wellness budget.
  • Learning reimbursement.

Your growth at YipitData is determined by the impact you make, not tenure or office politics. Everyone is empowered to learn, self-improve, and master their skills in an environment focused on ownership, respect, and trust.

Pay

The annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $160,000 - $185,000, with a 10% performance bonus and equity.

Schedule

This role may be performed fully remotely within the United States. Flexible work hours are offered.
