Senior Product Manager, Warehouse Execution Systems (WES) & Material Handling

About the role

Stord is a rapidly growing company that powers seamless checkout through delivery for leading brands. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to build a homegrown Warehouse Execution System (WES).

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Stord's homegrown WES.
• Own the build-vs-defer tradeoffs on WES scope.
• Design and own the operational logic for real-world failure conditions.
• Build the plug and play integration layer for automation vendors.
• Support Innovation Lab by designing and running pilots on new material handling and automation concepts.
• Present roadmap, tradeoffs, and pilot outcomes to Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

Requirements

• 5-7+ years in product management, with substantial experience in operationally complex environments.
• Direct exposure to warehouse execution, WMS, WCS, or material handling automation concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to bridge system architecture and floor-level workflows.
• Experience owning ambiguous, build-it-yourself product scope.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with experimentation and structured ambiguity for Innovation Lab.
• Willingness to travel to DC sites.

Qualifications

• Experience building 0-to-1 internal/homegrown platforms.
• Background in industrial engineering, operations research, or related fields.
• Experience with real-time systems, event-driven architectures, or optimization/scheduling logic.
