The DoorDash marketplace is expanding rapidly beyond just restaurants as we become “your door to more." We tackle complex challenges, from preventing fraud and ATO to ensuring authenticity, to building regulatory compliance capabilities, all while balancing risk mitigation and providing a seamless user experience. Our team partners closely with cross-functional groups, including Engineering, Data Science, Compliance, and Risk Operations, to drive strategic initiatives that protect our business while fostering growth.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager that will lead dedicated cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges that impact Consumers, Dashers and Merchants and touch every corner of our business - from new user onboarding, to the in-app dashing experience, to the products and services being created that our users can’t find anywhere else. We are looking to hire for a few roles, so you’ll either lead a vertical fraud team protecting Consumers or lead a horizontal fraud platform team focused on building our Risk Engine, Data Signals Intelligence and Automation / Anomaly Detection capabilities. The Fraud team is in hyper growth in terms of its size and impact and offers a unique opportunity to set and execute on a vision that will shape the future of DoorDash.

  • You’re excited about this opportunity because you will set the vision and long-term product strategy for one of our vertical fraud teams or our horizontal platform fraud team.
  • You develop and execute a customer-focused product roadmap through close collaboration with senior leadership, Operations, Data Science, Analytics, Design, and Engineering all while balancing business needs.
  • You translate customer and internal-user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of our users.
  • You guide and interface closely with data analysis and engineering teams to define scope, review and refine technical capabilities, prioritize projects for release, and define new opportunities.
  • You build long-term instrumentation, monitoring, and evaluation capabilities for product performance, tracking, and to create product insights.
  • You establish business cases and projected return on investment to identify and prioritize opportunities.
  • You partner with Finance and Business Leaders to manage the impact on the profitability of the overall business.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product management experience in the tech industry
  • 3 or more years of experience across Integrity/Trust & Safety/Fraud
  • Experience defining strategic vision and tactical execution in a given product area
  • Experience in iterative, agile software delivery, short release cycles
  • Focus and thoughtfulness on data and analytics to solve problems and experience achieving results through continuous improvement
  • Experience in effectively working with multiple teams for collaboration and company-wide project delivery
  • Tenacity to keep issues top of mind of relevant stakeholders and conviction to stand-by decisions
  • Time management skills and ability to prioritize independently
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science or data-related domain

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
