Deep Sync · Kirkland, WA · 3 wk ago
On-siteMarketing$155k–$185k/yrFull-time

About the role

Deep Sync supplies deterministic identity data that enables accurate audience targeting across offline and online channels for consumer and business marketing. In this senior product manager role you will own the product surface where customers select, purchase, and deliver audiences, and you will drive new product development from hypothesis to paid offering, including discontinuing concepts that do not justify further investment. The products must be ready for an AI‑first world, serving both human users and machine agents. The position is based in Kirkland, WA and operates within a flat organization with a fast product development cadence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product ownership and delivery: own a product surface from problem definition through to outcomes, including the business case, requirements engineering, and post‑release usage metrics.
  • Requirements and written decisions: create detailed requirements documents that state the problem, decisions, scope, and success criteria; use presentations for reporting only.
  • Scope discipline: evaluate existing features, make the case for retiring unused ones, and maintain that stance during reviews.
  • Release management: select early‑adopter customers, define milestone tests, and report results.
  • New product development:
    • Opportunity identification – discover un‑packaged attributes, new audience types, and unanswered customer questions.
    • Early validation – run small‑scale tests with clear metrics before committing to full builds.
    • Applied AI – determine where models or agents belong, specify evaluation methods, and prototype working solutions.
    • Design for machine consumption – create predictable interfaces, described data, and outputs usable without human intervention.
    • Progression or discontinuation – decide whether ideas move forward or are retired after a defined evaluation period.
  • Market and commercial responsibilities:
    • Customer contact – collaborate with sales, delivery, and client‑facing teams to gather failure points and insights.
    • Consumer and business marketing – understand distinct buyer motivations and measurement criteria.
    • Revenue alignment – identify which audiences sell, which attributes do not, and how pricing reflects value.
    • Delivery destinations – evaluate integrations with platforms such as The Trade Desk, DV360, Meta, Amazon, TikTok, LiveRamp, Snowflake, and Databricks marketplaces.
    • Data verification – assess match rates, attribute coverage, record counts, and source costs versus attributed revenue; write queries yourself.
    • Working with data owners – specify market requirements for identity resolution, taxonomy, and modeling teams.

Requirements

  • AdTech or MarTech product experience (required); built and released products in audience data, DSP/SSP, CDP, identity/onboarding, clean room, or measurement domains.
  • Deep understanding of identity data (deterministic & probabilistic matching, first‑party onboarding, identifier withdrawal, privacy regulation constraints).
  • Exposure to both consumer and business marketing, or demonstrated knowledge of their differences.
  • Sound judgement at speed – make trade‑off decisions quickly with incomplete information and revise as new data arrives.
  • Track record of taking a product from proposal to paying customer (new line, feature, or unrequested but valuable offering).
  • Data fluency without being a data engineer – strong SQL, familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, or S3/Parquet data lakes, and ability to validate coverage and match rates.
  • AI fluency (required) – use current AI tools for analysis, prototyping, and writing; assess where models belong in a product and understand their impact on requirements.
  • Written clarity – plain sentences, stated positions, visible reasoning; writing sample will be reviewed.
  • Record of stopping work – be prepared to discuss a feature or roadmap item that was halted, its cost, and decision rationale.
  • Experience with distributed working – collaborate primarily in written form with engineering teams based in India.

Qualifications

  • At least four years of product management experience, with a minimum of three years in AdTech, MarTech, or data‑as‑a‑service businesses.
  • Experience selling software or data to other businesses, serving both consumer and business marketing segments.
  • Proven ability to release into an existing platform and to launch entirely new offerings.
  • Practical use of machine learning or generative AI in product development or day‑to‑day work.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; no certification required.
  • Advantageous (but not required): experience with direct mail or other offline channels, data distribution through Snowflake or Databricks marketplaces, clean rooms, or companies built by acquisition.

Compensation

Salary range: $155,000 – $185,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Benefits

  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) and Company Holidays
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Health Savings Account (HSA) benefits
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Company‑Paid Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Short‑Term and Long‑Term Disability Insurance
  • Voluntary Life & AD&D Insurance
  • Critical Illness and Accident Insurance
