Responsibilities
- Serve as the Voice of the Customer for the product line throughout its life cycle from initial concept creation to launch, and subsequent support of the product.
- Identify new product opportunities by evaluating the business needs and understanding customer pain points and value drivers.
- Write business and product requirements documents and ensure clear communication and coordination of requirements to the business, design and development teams.
- Participate as a member of the core team during development, including research, requirements definition, metrics analysis, implementation, testing, and launch efforts.
- Work cross-functionally to manage bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and maximize business benefit while building great customer experiences.
- Measure and analyze existing products for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to customers.
- Present confidently in a written format to Amazon senior management as well as other large audiences.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of the scientific research landscape, including research methodologies, common challenges in scientific workflows, and emerging trends in the scientific community to inform product decisions and effectively address researcher needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience in new hardware product development
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Hardware product management experience for robotic systems
Qualifications
- Deep robotics engineering expertise
- Hands-on experience in robotic systems development, including motion planning, control systems, computer vision, and machine learning
- Experience with SLAM algorithms, inverse kinematics, real-time control architectures, and sensor fusion
- Understanding of ROS, real-time operating systems, and embedded systems development
- Experience working closely with robotics engineers and scientists to solve challenges in perception, manipulation, and HRI systems
- Ability to evaluate technical tradeoffs in areas like mechanical design, control systems architecture, and AI/ML implementation while considering customer value, business impact and scalability
- Strategic product vision
Skills
- Deep understanding of the scientific research landscape
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience driving adoption of new and disruptive technologies
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Pay
Base salary range for this position is $151,200.00 - $204,600.00 USD annually
