Responsibilities
- Own and drive the RCM product roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that deliver measurable value to clients and support Kipu's business goals.
- Translate payer requirements, regulatory changes, and client feedback into a clear, actionable product vision.
- Define and track product success metrics, using data to guide prioritization and validate outcomes.
- Conduct ongoing discovery with clients, internal SMEs, and industry stakeholders to deeply understand billing workflows, payer rules, and pain points.
- Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can execute with clarity.
- Analyze payer-specific billing requirements and ensure product features meet compliance and industry standards.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, and QA throughout the product lifecycle — from ideation through launch and iteration.
- Serve as the primary liaison between product, operations, and client-facing teams to ensure solutions are grounded in real-world needs.
- Work with sales and customer success to support go-to-market efforts, including enablement materials and client communications.
- Meet regularly with clients to gather feedback, validate product direction, and build trusted relationships.
- Present roadmap updates and product decisions to internal stakeholders and leadership with clarity and confidence.
- Act as an internal advocate for the client voice, ensuring RCM product decisions reflect the operational realities of behavioral health providers.
- Stay current on healthcare billing trends, payer regulations, and RCM industry developments.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate Kipu's RCM solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years focused on healthcare RCM, billing, or adjacent domains.
- Deep understanding of revenue cycle workflows, payer regulations, and healthcare billing best practices.
- Proven ability to translate complex domain requirements into clear, actionable product specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with data to drive decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (i.e. you can explain complex billing concepts to non-technical audiences and technical tradeoffs to executives.)
- Experience working in agile product development environments with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology platforms (EMR, CRM, RCM systems) preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health or similar specialty care settings is a plus.
