Senior Product Manager, MMPO

About the role

The Middle Mile Supply and Routing Optimization team builds complex software solutions that work across Amazon's vendors, warehouses, and carriers to optimize both time and cost of package delivery. This role will focus on delivering technology features that enhance real-time routing technology and improving efficiency metrics.

Responsibilities

• Support the Routing technology products to better match demand and supply and drive efficiency
• End-to-end ownership of requirements gathering, documentation, planning, and implementation of cost-effective solutions for Amazon's transportation network
• Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally across multiple teams in operations, technology, and planning to define strategic roadmaps while keeping the impact of the solution to all stakeholders in mind
• Create and implement data-driven improvements to Amazon's transportation network that deliver flexible and efficient products for our customers
• Design and implement feedback mechanisms to drive performance and cost improvement in processes
• Deep dive and do root-cause analysis using data, and create metrics-driven, actionable, and sustainable solutions for the future
• Monitor KPIs across nodes and analyze their drivers to determine the level and type of engagement required based on the risk to customer experience and utilization of technology

Requirements

• 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development, or technology experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience with end-to-end product delivery
• Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
• Experience owning technology products
• 5+ years of using SQL to extract and manipulate data experience

Qualifications

• Voraciously curious about Amazon's transportation operations and how data consumed and produced by our systems can be used to improve outcomes and lower costs
• Expert at synthesizing and communicating insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication

Skills

• Experience in influencing senior leadership through data-driven insights
• Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
