Senior Product Manager, Infection Prevention Solutions

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for the commercial success of the assigned Olympus Infection Prevention Solutions product lines within Olympus America. This role supports organizational objectives by defining and executing marketing strategies and tactics, including promotions, advertising, collateral, and all other marketing activities, under the direction of the Marketing Director. The Sr. Product Manager will manage large, complex processes and projects with limited oversight from Marketing leadership and may oversee Product Managers or Associate Product Managers, providing coaching and mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of long and short-term marketing plans in line with global strategies to increase revenue, maximize profit, and grow market share for assigned product lines. This includes commercial business plan and competitive strategy development, pricing analysis, sales/revenue forecasts, analysis of distribution/channel opportunities, and inventory/product portfolio management.
- Execute the commercial business plan including:
- Launch of new products
- Development of value propositions and messaging
- Communication of key selling messages using all available and relevant channels
- Development and execution of clinical strategy to differentiate company products
- Provide input to Global Upstream Marketing and Research & Development (R&D) teams during product review meetings. Share customer needs and market trends, provide feedback on new product prototypes, and create new product forecasts.
- Organize and lead key sessions during the National Sales Meeting to ensure the field sales organization is fully trained on the product and prepared to execute product-level strategies.
- Conduct additional field work as needed (e.g., attending trade shows, visiting customer sites).
- Organize and prepare for critical GI tradeshows to highlight Olympus products including SGNA, APIC, AORN, and regional shows as requested. Meet with HCPs to understand trends and obtain product feedback.
- Assess competitor activities and position Olympus for success.
- Act as a project manager and provide direction to the product launch team through all phases of product launch, coordinating activities of all internal and external groups, ensuring all launch criteria are met and all marketing and sales materials are available.
- Develop a deep understanding of clinical procedures and future market trends. Maintain expertise on clinical research, healthcare economics, and key HCPs related to those procedures.
- Identify and maintain relationships with Health Care Professionals following Olympus America’s code of ethics and compliance guidelines.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key supplier partners supporting Olympus distributed products.
- Other relevant duties as required.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience providing overall leadership in the market, evaluating market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, and developing and implementing strategies.
- Experience managing complex projects to successful completion.
- Experience in launching new technologies and procedures.
- Proven ability to develop and grow relevant business areas.
- Ability to interact with field personnel, management, and customers.
- High degree of self-reliance, initiative, and creativity.
- Ability to interpret trends and data, translating information into actions and improvements.
- Experience interacting with a diverse cross-functional team; strong prospecting skills, self-starter, capable of independent action, detail-oriented, multi-task/time management, ability to internalize technical concepts, products, and services.
- Experience in developing and managing Health Care Providers as advisors.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills, including interactions with sales and senior customer personnel.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge.
- Up to 40% domestic travel, including overnight travel.
Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare and/or medical devices is preferred.
- Master’s/MBA preferred.
- People management experience preferred.

Pay
The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $106,402.00 - $148,963.00 per year, plus potential for an annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
