About the role
The role involves owning the first touch to first reward sent process, including signup, onboarding, and the first order. You will develop the growth roadmap, staff the squad that runs it, and build the systems for testing.
Responsibilities
- Own first touch to first reward sent. Signup, onboarding, and the first order are your responsibility.
- Develop the growth roadmap, then help staff the squad that runs it (through internal transfers and outside hires).
- Build the systems that let us test. Stand up a landing page, change it, and kill it within a day, without waiting on an engineering sprint.
- Run campaigns with Marketing. Pull a growth marketer into your team's cadence so a campaign ships end to end: audience, copy, landing page, emails, ads.
- Turn incentives into a system. Hand out test funds and fee waivers case by case. Decide what to offer, to whom, and what it's worth. Prototype with AI in hours, and put it in front of real companies the same week.
- Work async. Most product work here happens in writing. Look at a signup page and say what's wrong with it, without a test telling you.
Requirements
- 6+ years shipping web products as a growth PM, founder, or engineer, with real time on acquisition, conversion, or activation.
- A founder or founding-engineer past is a strong plus.
- Enough technical depth to ship without a full team. Can instrument a funnel, read the data, and build a landing page when that's the fastest path.
- Taste in conversion flows. Can look at a signup page and say what's wrong with it, without a test telling you.
- Judgment about when to test. Knows when traffic will resolve a question, and is comfortable deciding from other evidence when it won't.
- Healthy skepticism of growth playbooks. Knows which parts assume a free tier, and which parts transfer.
- Outstanding written communication. We're a documentation-first culture.
Qualifications
- Experience with web products and growth strategies.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
