We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Search Places team to define the future of how people discover and engage with places across traditional Search and AI experiences. The role involves shaping relevant, high‑quality places results across multiple surfaces and making a significant impact on how users navigate and interact with the world.
Starting January 26 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50‑mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or a 25‑mile commute of a non‑U.S., country‑specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week, subject to local law.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the roadmap for AI experiences in Search and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to shape next‑generation experiences.
- Influence others to drive business impact across the organization and track success criteria for multiple feature areas across divisions.
- Identify long‑term investment opportunities and engage partners to garner support for those feature areas.
- Partner with others to collect performance metrics and form hypotheses for complex technical needs to improve product development.
- Drive cross‑org alignment in a highly matrixed environment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with Search and Relevance systems.
- Experience using large‑scale datasets to identify quality gaps and inform product decisions.
- Experience defining and driving API‑based grounding products.
- Experience defining product strategy, making complex product decisions, and applying product judgment and systems thinking.
Pay
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year. For specific work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $160,200 – $261,000 per year.
