Senior Product Manager

About the role

The Senior Product Manager at Choice Hotels is responsible for tackling complex, cross-functional product challenges that significantly impact the business. This role requires a deep understanding of customer needs, business outcomes, and the ability to make impactful decisions that drive value.

Responsibilities

• Own the discovery and delivery of highly complex product problems that span multiple teams, systems, and customer journeys.
• Contribute directly to product strategy by surfacing opportunities and risks that are not visible from a leadership perspective.
• Use customer research, data analysis, prototyping, and experimentation to determine what matters, what doesn't, and what needs to happen next.
• Partner with business unit leaders and subject matter experts to shape priorities, clarify direction, and pressure-test strategy.
• Mentor junior product managers, providing guidance on tough discovery problems, feedback on decision-making, and support in developing customer insight and business acumen.

Requirements

• Solved genuinely hard product problems and can explain the complexities involved.
• Made consequential product decisions that influenced business performance and understood the trade-offs behind them.
• Comfortable working with incomplete information and making decisions based on that.
• Has a strong ability to do thorough discovery, using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Understands how product decisions relate to business unit goals, customer outcomes, and long-term strategy.
• Has enough technical depth to work effectively with engineering on architecture, platform constraints, and delivery trade-offs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a related field.
• Experience in a senior product management role, ideally within a large, complex organization.
• Proven track record of solving complex product problems and influencing business outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and make decisions under uncertainty.

• Experience with agile methodologies and product development processes.
• Understanding of product lifecycle management and the ability to iterate quickly based on user feedback.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $151,000 to $178,000 annually. In addition to the annual salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the terms of Choice's Management Incentive Plan (MIP).

Schedule

Based on the nature of the role, the schedule may vary. However, it typically involves regular office hours with occasional remote work and travel as needed.
