Senior Product Manager
About the role
You will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, supporting the One Air middleware platform that connects airline reservation systems with airline services for shopping, booking, ticketing, fulfillment, and PNR management. This role combines business analysis, backlog management, stakeholder engagement, and Product Owner support within an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
- Translate high-level requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements, ensuring stories meet the team's Definition of Ready.
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
- Analyze and improve airline processes including booking, ticketing, exchanges, refunds, schedule changes, queue management, and PNR management.
- Assess impacts of airline system enhancements and process changes.
- Manage and groom the One Air product backlog under guidance from the Senior Product Manager.
- Recommend prioritization of enhancements, defects, technical debt, and new features.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders (Air Operations, Reservations Teams, Revenue Management, Contact Centers) and technology teams.
- Educate delivery teams on airline business processes and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, UX teams, and SMEs.
- Develop business-focused test scenarios and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support defect triage and solution validation.
- Validate production readiness and support release adoption.
- Create and maintain process documentation, workflow diagrams, training materials, and business impact reports.
- Track operational performance and adoption metrics after releases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
- Product Owner or backlog management experience.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Requirements gathering and process modeling expertise.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Sabre Air Reservation System, Sabre GDS, airline fulfillment processes, airline servicing workflows, PNR management, ticketing & exchanges, and refund processes.
- Familiarity with NDC (New Distribution Capability), airline retailing, offer & order management.
- APIs & system integrations.
- XML / JSON.
- Jira, Confluence, Xray for Jira (preferred).
- Python (preferred for analysis and automation).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in airline, travel, or hospitality reservation systems.
- Certifications: CSPO / PSPO, CBAP / PMI-PBA, Sabre Certifications.
Pay
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $73,150–$174,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, education, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, market considerations, and internal pay equity.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
