Senior Product Manager 1 (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the modernization of our annuity ecosystem. This role requires collaboration across Product Development, Technology, Operations, business SMEs, Portfolio Management, and strategic vendors.

Responsibilities

• Defines and manages product strategy for strategically significant, complex products, ensuring alignment across organization boundaries.
• Partners with Director or Senior Director of Product Management and other product managers to ensure product strategies align with business and enterprise strategies.
• Works to integrate strategy through shared objectives and integrates business, customer, user, and partner insights to inform problem-solving and risk management.
• Executes the strategy as part of multiple product teams, responsible for the success of product delivery on the most complex and high-risk products.
• Collaborates with other product managers, technology, and non-technology partners to remove impediments and negotiate resolution to conflicts and constraints.
• Ensures customer, user, and stakeholder insights are embedded in each stage of the product management lifecycle to enable efficient and effective use of delivery resources.
• Communicates product releases to stakeholders and partners, responsible for successful delivery of measurable, goal-aligned value (quality, timing, communication).
• Ensures key information regarding the product(s) is understood by stakeholders and communicates effectively as part of the Product Management team supporting a broader product family or portfolio.
• Works with diverse stakeholders across department and organizational unit lines to understand, prepare for, and benefit from product changes.
• Provides thought partnership with AD, Dir, and Sr. Dir of Product Management, assessing the health and maturity of the product management practice within their sphere of responsibility and working to continuously improve.
• Leads the product strategy and execution for annuity modernization initiatives, partnering across Product Development, Technology, Operations, Portfolio Management, business SMEs, and strategic vendor partners.

Requirements

• 6+ years of business, technology, or product management experience; or equivalent through work experience, military experience, or education.
• 3+ years of experience in a highly collaborative, complex, fast-paced product environment with product or engineering teams and stakeholders managing multiple products.
• Proven success driving modernization, platform implementation, migration, or large-scale initiatives, including navigating organizational complexity and competing priorities.
• Experience partnering with external vendors and internal SMEs to evaluate capabilities, define solutions, and deliver business outcomes aligned to strategic objectives.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance customer experience, business value, operational efficiency, technical constraints, and risk.
• Ability to leverage customer, user, and partner data and insights to drive product decisions.
• Strong communication and executive presence, with experience presenting recommendations, tradeoffs, and progress to senior leadership and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or leading through influence in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in product management methodologies, agile development, and project management tools.
• Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence without authority, and strong organizational and prioritization skills.

$127,000 - $171,000 per year
