Senior Product Engineer | NYC

About the role

We are looking for a generalist senior full-stack product engineer to join our early team in New York City. You’ll work closely with product, design and the rest of engineering to ship features end to end across the Starbridge platform, from the data model and APIs through to the UI. You’ll create the foundations that let us iterate quickly on customer feedback.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and shipping production web applications across frontend and backend.
• Experience working in a startup or a smaller company with real engineering impact.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript and modern frontend tooling.
• Strong experience building backend services and RESTful APIs in a typed language (TypeScript, Java, Go or similar).
• Comfortable with relational data modeling and SQL, and understand how databases and search systems behave under load.
• Set the highest possible UX and UI bar for the work you do.
• Team player excited to do what it takes to make the team successful.
• Proactive in how you work and how you communicate.
• Comfortable in a work environment that blends sync and async communication and work.
• Excited to build an in-person culture with the team.

Skills

• Experience as a technical lead making architectural design decisions.
• Experience with GitHub CI/CD.
• Cloud infrastructure experience, ideally GCP.
• Experience building product features on top of LLMs.

Pay

Compensation range: $200K - $300K
