Senior Product Engineer (Defense/C-UAS)

About the role

The Senior Product Engineer will lead the development and deployment of AI vision systems for US government and partner facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration, installation, and deployment of AI vision systems onto customer platforms (armored vehicles, drones)
• Write and modify production-level Python code to tailor system outputs and interfaces to specific platform requirements
• Run hands-on technical demonstrations and field experiments directly with end-users
• Serve as the primary technical bridge between US clients/partners and the global R&D headquarters
• Manage local technical activities including specialized hardware handling and subcontractor coordination
• Travel ~40-50% across the US to client sites (Detroit, Maryland, Virginia area)

Qualifications

• Required: 6-8+ years in an R&D engineering capacity (not IT, DevOps, or QA)
• Production-level Python and Linux proficiency writing and modifying code, not just scripting
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics
• Demonstrated history of delivering a technical product through field testing and integration to end-users
• Background in defense, aviation, or robotics
• Eligibility for US Security Clearance (advantageous)
• Hardware integration experience: ROS, serial communications, camera calibration
• Computer vision, machine learning, or deep learning knowledge
• Video streaming protocols and tools (GStreamer, FFmpeg)
• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms (DeepStream, TensorRT)
