Design the Electronics Behind Life-Changing Medical Devices
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of embedded electronic systems for medical devices.
- Develop hardware architectures, schematics, and PCB layouts.
- Drive projects from concept, prototyping, and verification through production release.
- Design analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits.
- Perform circuit analysis, simulations, troubleshooting, and root cause investigations.
- Define and manage hardware requirements aligned with overall system architecture.
- Support verification and validation testing and incorporate findings into design improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, risk assessments, and engineering records.
- Collaborate closely with software, mechanical, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams.
- Serve as a technical mentor and subject matter expert for hardware development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing embedded electronic hardware products.
- Strong expertise in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Experience designing microcontroller-based systems.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design and schematic capture tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience taking products from concept through production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Altium Designer and Altium 365.
- Experience in medical devices or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of IEC 60601, EMC/EMI requirements, FCC, RED, or similar regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with embedded firmware development in C/C++.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and production industrialization.

$120,000 starting salary with bonus potential
