About the role

PEMCO is seeking a Senior Product Analyst to join our dynamic community team. This role involves conducting complex quantitative analysis of property & casualty products to enhance product performance and support PEMCO's initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage large-scale, complex projects with support.
  • Document complex system workflows and business processes.
  • Develop and implement analytical strategies as a partner to Product Managers and Actuarial team.
  • Create queries, dashboards, and tools for analyzing and tracking product success; identify enhancements and efficiency gains in data strategy and warehousing; consult on data fields, calculations, and methodology.
  • Compile and submit materials for rate filings.
  • Communicate analysis with business stakeholders to understand its value.
  • Build tools and processes to create efficiencies, especially in analyzing metrics.
  • Absorb and assist less experienced analysts as needed or assigned.
  • Aid in product and rating reviews, including making pricing recommendations.
  • Perform complex analysis to evaluate the performance of and identify trends and issues for our products and make actionable recommendations for improvements.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience in economics, business, information technology, mathematics, or equivalent quantitative field of study is required.
  • Graduate or other professional degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry is required.
  • 6+ years of experience in analytical roles with increasing scale, scope and complexity involving pricing insurance products or similar work including experience in integrating, managing, and manipulating large data files from various corporate systems and external sources is required.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and WTW Radar is preferred.

  • Organizes data visually and speaks clearly and persuasively in group presentations and meetings with multiple peer groups and senior management.
  • Is detail orientated and has a strong desire for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Has excellent time management skills and easily manages multiple tasks, activities, and projects.
  • Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Proficiency in SQL, SQL Server, and data visualization.
  • Knowledge of data structures and ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Passionate about working with disparate datasets bringing data together to answer business questions.
  • Collaborates to create, manage, and translate data to meaningful insights.
  • Can work with external vendors to integrate data for analysis; knows how to build efficient and scalable infrastructure and data models.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
  • The ability to communicate clearly and informatively, verbally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and the community in both technical and non-technical professional language.
  • Thinks analytically; a structured thinker who can put complex ideas into clear frameworks; uses data to conduct root cause analysis and develops high quality, consumable, and consistent metrics that drive strategic objectives and priorities.

Outside Greater Seattle Area: $85,559 - $142,598
