About the role
The California Lottery is a multi-billion-dollar enterprise headquartered in Sacramento. It is one of the few state organizations that is a revenue generator, not accepting taxpayer dollars from the state’s general fund. Our mission is to provide supplemental funding for California’s public schools and colleges. The Senior Product Analyst serves as a lead for the California State Lottery’s public website and related digital technology initiatives, responsible for strategic planning, governance, administration, and continuous improvement of the website to ensure technology solutions effectively support business operations, digital service delivery, accessibility, security, and organizational objectives.
The duties for this position are focused in the Business Technology Management and IT Project Management domains; however, work may be assigned in other domains as needed. This position is headquartered in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must reside in California and be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to define business and technical requirements, manage product roadmaps, oversee product performance, and support the successful planning and delivery of technology initiatives.
- Lead the evaluation of current and emerging technology solutions, conduct market research, develop business and technical requirements, support technology procurements and vendor engagements, and recommend technology solutions that align with Lottery’s strategic goals and enterprise architecture.
- Ensure digital service delivery, accessibility, and security standards are met.

- All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification must be included on your State Application (STD Form 678).

Special Requirements
- The California State Lottery Act provides that no person may be hired as an employee of the Commission if that person has been convicted of a felony or any gambling related offense.
- The position requires a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
Pay
$8,625.00 - $11,557.00 per month. New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
Schedule
12 Month Limited Term - Full Time. This assignment may be extended and has the potential to become permanent.
