About the role
Tombras, a 600+ person, full-service, national advertising agency with a digital mindset, is seeking a Senior Producer to lead productions across video, digital, social, experiential, stills, and more. You’ll join one of the top independent agencies in North America, recognized by AdAge, Adweek, Communication Arts, Fast Company, Forbes, and Fortune, including being named 2025 AdAge Agency of the Year and 2024 AdAge Independent Agency of the Year. The role is based in Knoxville, TN.
Responsibilities
- Lead productions from concept development through final delivery, working on multiple concurrent projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with production partners, freelance talent, directors, editors, and other vendors.
- Ensure projects are executed on time and on budget while protecting the creative vision.
- Anticipate production challenges and proactively develop solutions.
- Collaborate with Creative and Account teams during concept development to advise on production feasibility and ballpark costs.
- Shape ideas that can be executed within timing and budget, pushing craft for both hi-fi and low-fi productions.
- Stay at the forefront of new technologies and production methodologies.
- Oversee production budgets ranging from small digital content to large-scale hi-fi productions.
- Create production estimates and budgets, with expertise in both union and non-union talent.
- Negotiate production costs with vendors and production partners while ensuring financial accountability.
- Get creative with cost-saving measures without compromising creative quality.
- Approve vendor estimates, change orders, and final billing.
- Discover and champion new production talent.
- Serve as the senior production representative in client meetings, running meetings and presenting production plans.
- Build client relationships and manage expectations regarding timing, scope, and budget.
- Lead production presentations and pre-production meetings.
- Identify production risks early and partner with Business Affairs on contracts, licensing, talent, insurance, and legal considerations.
- Protect agency and client interests throughout production.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of advertising production experience.
- Extensive experience producing traditional commercials, branded content, digital campaigns, activations, and integrated productions.
- Strong understanding of production across live action, photography, animation, VFX, post-production, audio, experiential, digital, and social content.
- Proven leadership managing large, complex productions.
- Established industry relationships across production partners and vendors.
- Expertise in budgeting, negotiations, scheduling, and production operations.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced agency environment.
