About the role

This position will be based on-site at our office in Ashburn, VA in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days on site required, 2 days flexible). As a Senior Procurement Analyst, you will manage OFCI Equipment—the second largest individual cost within the construction process—and engage in the supply chain aspects of our Data Centers. You will be responsible for record keeping, assisting in obtaining vendor submittals, maintaining product specifications, working with vendors, ensuring adherence to company processes, monitoring and managing contracts, preparing status and tracking reports, and supporting Procurement Managers and the Senior Director in their daily tasks.

Regular collaboration and coordination are required with supply chain partners and internal teams such as Engineering, Operations, Legal, and multiple Construction Management Teams. Travel will be necessary to various factories for factory witness testing, audits, and on-boarding of new vendors. Minimal travel to Vantage Data Center sites may also be required occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily assistance to the procurement team to ensure departmental goals are met or exceeded.
• Manage and assist with multiple single line diagrams, product specifications, and drive OFCI Equipment submittals to closure (approval).
• Understand RFIs and RFQs for sourcing equipment such as low voltage switchgear, medium switchgear, transformers, electrical skids, CRAH’s, chillers, generators, UPS’s, and other data center equipment systems.
• Coordinate with vendors on continuous quality improvement.
• Manage and track equipment status with vendors to meet construction schedule deadlines.
• Analyze and negotiate vendor quotes, change orders, and back charges.
• Use financial software to enter POs, review invoices, track budgets, and allocate equipment from purchase to projects.
• Support Procurement Managers and Finance/Accounting with invoicing issues.
• Drive project-level tasks and milestones assigned by the project management team.
• Coordinate with vendors for scheduling start-up and commissioning support services.
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships.
• Develop and maintain record keeping and reports for the business.
• Refine procurement processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Work with compliance to ensure the department and vendors adhere to guidelines.
• Work with operational personnel to ensure proper spare parts and service programs are in place and assist with their database.
• Conduct safety evaluations with vendors and project sites to ensure compliance.
• Manage the full OFCI equipment package on a VDC development project with minimal support from a Procurement Manager.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and operational requirements.
• Work with finance and compliance to ensure all purchases are appropriately costed to a project.
• Coordinate the approval and release of necessary equipment per construction schedule.
• Investigate and work with vendors to ensure their products are best suited for Vantage.
• Support open and transparent communication with project teams for project delivery success.
• Negotiate complex requests for equipment and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Manage equipment inventory planning efforts and forecasting.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in engineering, construction science, supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a supply chain or construction role.
• Data Center, commercial, or industrial equipment experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and drive tasks to closure.
• Strong business acumen with a commercial background.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
• Travel is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time as the business evolves.

Pay

Salary Range: $95,000–105,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Virginia market data and may vary in other locations). Compensation for the role will depend on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
