About the Role
The Senior Procurement Analyst will assist in developing complex category strategies while supporting and influencing business partners to drive value for TriNet, based in Atlanta. The role involves leading and supporting category initiatives, providing strategic direction in category management, supplier evaluation and selection, risk management, sourcing initiatives, pricing reviews, contract management, data analysis, and communication. The senior analyst will ensure improved quality, services, and performance within supported categories while optimizing value and fulfilling business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the end-to-end procure-to-pay process for mid-dollar projects, including stakeholder management, vendor engagement, and escalation management.
- Collaborate with Procurement Managers to build short-term and long-term category vision aligned with business partners, supported by strategic category management and sourcing.
- Lead and facilitate supplier negotiations to ensure terms, rates, and services align with strategic business needs and maximize partner satisfaction.
- Conduct targeted analysis related to business goals for sourcing, synthesizing data to identify cost savings opportunities, mitigate risks, and improve category performance while meeting financial targets and improving partner satisfaction.
- Create function-specific strategic sourcing goals to improve service, performance, and value of partnerships, driving relationships to achieve these goals.
- Contribute to the performance and profitability of assigned departments through the purchasing process.
- Actively supervise and handle aggregate supplier spend data; perform price, industry, and supplier analysis to support effective decision-making in the sourcing process.
- Work directly with key suppliers to negotiate preferred pricing and contract terms.
- Proactively connect with Procurement Managers to ensure awareness of and alignment to category initiatives.
- Develop and maintain ongoing procurement metrics, including cost savings, transaction savings, procure-to-pay transactions, and procurement efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Typically 5+ years of experience with supplier management, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation, preferably in a large or public company.
Skills
- Familiarity with category industry, including emerging business models.
- Knowledge of procurement systems, procedures, regulations, and industry standards.
- Outstanding customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with peers, suppliers, customers, and business partners.
- Experience providing project leadership and effectively running projects.
- Excellent analytical skills and high level of contract knowledge.
- Ability to partner with and influence internal partners (HR, Marketing, IT, Legal, etc.), including selling ideas and building consensus.
- Proficiency in PC skills (Excel, Word, database, statistical software), including creating spreadsheets, pivot tables, and reports.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in complex, sometimes ambiguous, and fast-paced environments.
- Well-developed ability to interact and connect with people at all levels of the organization.
- Self-reliant and proactive in all work areas.

Pay
The salary range for this role in Atlanta, GA, is $70,800.00 to $132,750.00. The final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location, and experience. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
