Key job responsibilities
- Lead idea generation for innovative design/process solutions to existing operational problems
- Create documentation to share innovative design/process solutions, process maps, design standards, etc.
- Generate structured plan to turn innovative design/process solutions from ideas to assessment, pilot and finally expansion.
- Own and deliver against plans, providing network reporting, financial approval and leadership approval for all stages of program progression.
- Act as SME expert in area of ownership, providing expertise to other Engineering teams, alongside providing challenge for suppliers and partners.
- Build large-scale business proposals based on innovation designs for WW Ops Engineering, often with ambiguity; collaborate with WHS, Planning, Launch, Procurement, Finance, HR, external partners and product teams to ensure project completion (on time and within budget).
- Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible.
- Own internal process innovations across the Engineering Org, including owning road-mapping and planning for given area of responsibility and ensuring roadmap is delivered.
- Up to 50% regional and WW travel depending on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of design & innovation, research & development work experience
- 5+ years of integration, testing and automation experience
- Experience in management of engineering design projects
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing solutions for large, high-volume sorting operations
- Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
- Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
