Responsibilities
- Identify and implement process improvements across all support ops to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality.
- Develop and standardize job instructions and training documentation to ensure workforce consistency and compliance.
- Provide engineering support across 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekend coverage and vacation relief as needed.
- Use problem-solving tools (5 Why’s, Fishbone, 8D, DMAIC, etc.) to resolve chronic equipment or process issues.
- Track and analyze production metrics and downtime data using tools such as Excel pivot tables and EAM systems.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and safety teams to support ergonomic improvements and accident root cause analysis.
- Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, scrap reduction, and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5+ years’ experience in Stamping operations.
- Strong mechanical and process troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with EAM systems.
- Willingness and flexibility to work varying shifts and provide weekend/vacation coverage.
- Experience with transfer and single-stage presses and background in metal stamping or fabrication.
