Responsibilities

  • Daily account servicing and client advisement, including handling client and insurance company inquiries, processing carrier downloads, obtaining notifications and alerts, maintaining accurate account information in the agency management system, claims advising, endorsements, evidence of insurance, and auto ID cards.
  • Cultivates and maintains excellent communication and relationships with clients and insurance carriers.
  • Interacts professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Develops remarketing strategies in accordance with client servicing standards and market changes.
  • Manages the renewal process on assigned book of business, including preparation of pre-renewal summaries, online quoting via carrier rating platforms, reviewing quotes, negotiating terms and premiums, preparing final quotes and proposals, binding coverage, and issuing renewal invoices.
  • Participates in conference calls and/or periodic in-person client meetings to ensure assets are adequately protected.
  • Assists with the onboarding and training of new associates.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert and provides technical expertise to staff.
  • Participates in cross-selling new or additional lines of coverage or services on existing accounts.
  • Follows up on accounts receivable items in accordance with IMA Accounts Receivable Policy.
  • Attends education classes combined with individual study programs to expand technical coverage knowledge.

Requirements

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently on matters of significance.
  • Ability to manage accounts with increased complexity.
  • Ability to analyze insurance quotes and make recommendations.
  • Knowledge of policy forms and endorsements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Math skills involving familiarity with ratios, percentages, discounts, and commissions.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Minimum 5 years of similar or related experience.
  • Property and Casualty license required for the state of business; must fulfill continuing education requirements to retain the license.

Pay

Salary Range: $60,000 USD - $80,000 USD. In addition to our robust benefits package, the final offer amounts will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s geographic location, prior relevant experience, and their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
