Senior/Principal Strategy Product Manager - AI Coding Product
About the Role
We are the Model Strategy & Product team, connecting Seed with developers and enterprises. Our team drives impact in two key directions:
- We identify high-value needs from developers and enterprise applications, define evaluation frameworks, and guide model capabilities toward AGI.
- We start from model capabilities to uncover unlockable use cases, lead go-to-market (GTM) efforts, and bring AI into real-world applications across industries.
We’re looking for a PM who understands developers and loves thinking about how AI can build software. You’ll define how our coding model behaves, where it should excel, and how it integrates into real developer pipelines—from generating code to debugging, refactoring, and more.
Responsibilities
- Track frontier research & product advancements in LLMs and code generation across market competitors.
- Identify high-value developer scenarios (e.g., code synthesis, debugging, tests, refactoring, full-stack app building) and translate them into a capability roadmap.
- Talk to real developers (internal and external) to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and model failure cases.
- Define model eval standards across languages, tooling coverage, complexity, and correctness (e.g., unit/test frameworks, fuzzing, static analysis).
- Work closely with research, engineering, and eval teams to drive model improvements with measurable impact.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Passionate about AI and developer tools, with strong intuition for how engineers build software in the real world.
- Strong signal-gathering instincts across research, tools, prototypes, competitive products, and developer interviews.
- Structured thinker who can turn ambiguous problems into clear metrics, milestones, and decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in developer tools/enterprise productivity is a plus.
- Experience in software engineering or hands-on development experience is a strong plus.
