About the role

As a Senior Strategic Planner, you will help to continue to support the mission. You will utilize your 10+ years of experience to provide specialized analysis, planning, conduct research or evaluate information from a variety of sources, and make recommendations based on the data. Support campaign, contingency, and crisis planning focused on joint problem sets, requiring extensive knowledge of Joint Planning and Intelligence Planning Processes and their alignment with national security policies. You will have an opportunity to support additional duties beyond the prescribed functions by becoming integrated and trained to support and complement operational execution.

The work you’ll do at ARMA will be impactful to the mission of the customer. You will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data pertaining to operations and organizations. You will support the customer’s force protection and identity data management efforts. Utilize relevant technologies and services while being prepared to include emerging tools and procedures as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on customer’s capabilities
  • Demonstrate expert communication, influencing, and leadership skills
  • Apply experience with intelligence planning, formal military planning certification, or successful completion of School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS), School of Advanced Warfighting (SAW), School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (SAASS), or Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS) programs
  • Coordinate analytic support to produce Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE) products
  • Apply knowledge of Joint Planning and Intelligence Planning Processes and Special Operations policy, strategy, and plans, including TCPs and TCOs, GCPs, or OPLANs, and U.S. national security policies
  • Work independently and meet short deadlines in a fast-paced environment, coordinating participation and input in the development of global plans
  • Consult with clients to determine optimum design for assigned projects, recommend functional changes, and identify areas for further investigation
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines and partner organizations to produce thorough and reliable products
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • May coach and review the work of less experienced professionals
  • May develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in SOF strategic planning, intelligence methods, and management
  • 5 years of SOF unit experience at the tactical and operational level
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance (must currently possess)
  • US Citizenship required
  • Military experience, Special Operations planning experience, oversight at either the strategic or operational level, interagency and DoD coordination experience
  • Master’s Degree
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $112,840 - $132,250. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
