We are looking for a customer obsessed Field Application Engineer to join our team at NEXPERIA focused on the fast growing automotive and industrial sub-segments of Battery Electric vehicles (BEV), EV charging, Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and solar energy.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable to drive design wins and new product in target account.
  • Drive customer visits for technical product presentations, demonstrations, and product value proposition deployment.
  • Manage project design in campaigns to ensure early involvement in the customer’s technology roadmap and continuous and timely flow of information to all necessary parties.
  • Qualify design opportunities and establish value proposition/position relative to the competition.
  • Promote the product value (strengths versus competitive products) and quantify the technical benefits derived from choosing Nexperia.
  • Owns the block diagram process to ensure full Nexperia system sell.
  • Delivers ongoing formal and informal knowledge sharing and product positioning that helps assigned accounts understand the operational, financial, and business impact of Nexperia solutions within the automotive segment.
  • Interface with the product teams on new product ideas and development.
  • Assists in educating Field Sales Engineers on new technologies, new product features and their related business value.

Requirements

  • Education/ studies: BSEE. MSEE preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrification design in EV and/or industrial applications.
  • Technical experience related to power applications: Electrification, ECUs, BCMs and/or power supplies/management.
  • In-depth Understanding of Americas Semiconductor Market including reference design influence and transnational accounts.
  • Good knowledge of Discrete Semiconductors including MOSFETs, ESD protection and Logic, analog and power management ICs.

  • Willingness to travel, primarily west coast US (10%) and occasionally internationally, when needed.
