Hybrid role based in our U.S. offices.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to shape and execute pricing strategies that support our clients and strengthen firm performance. This is a JD-advantage, business-professional role within the Finance organization—focused on commercial strategy, analytics, and partnership with practice leadership. It does not involve the practice of law, client representation, or providing legal advice.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with attorneys and practice leaders to develop pricing strategies and fee arrangements (hourly, fixed, capped, phased, hybrid, contingency, success-based).
  • Build matter budgets and pricing models for proposals, RFPs, and significant client matters, translating scope and staffing assumptions into actionable plans.
  • Evaluate profitability, realization, and execution risk through scenario and sensitivity analysis; monitor performance and explain key variances.
  • Leverage historical data and relevant benchmarks to support value-based pricing discussions and recommendations.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reporting that improve visibility into pricing performance and revenue risk indicators.
  • Drive adoption of pricing best practices by coaching partners and attorneys and enabling consistent matter planning.
  • Collaborate across Finance/Billing, Practice Management, and Client Development to support governance, approvals, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
  • Relevant experience in legal pricing, law firm finance, practice management, or professional services pricing (level aligned to Manager vs. Senior Manager).
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills; advanced Excel proficiency and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Clear, confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex negotiations.
  • Working knowledge of law firm economics, billing practices, and alternative fee arrangements.
  • Juris Doctor strongly preferred as a JD-advantage credential (non-attorney, non-practicing business-professional role).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Benefits

  • Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance.
  • Company 401(k) plan eligibility for contract/temporary professionals.

Pay

$200,000 - $225,000 plus bonus.
