About the role
The Senior Pricing Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting pricing strategy execution, pricing structure optimization, and data-driven business decisions. This position requires a blend of analytical skills and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive meaningful business value.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute urgent business critical ad-hoc exploratory analysis, broader pricing analytics, and reporting solutions.
- Translate business needs into actionable pricing analysis, reporting, and automation solutions.
- Leverage and support management and validation of pricing-related data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems and reports.
- Work across complex datasets, business rules, and system structures, partnering closely with IT and business stakeholders.
- Provide analytical insights and recommendations to support pricing decisions and margin improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify pricing opportunities, risks, and process improvement areas.
- Promote a data-driven culture by delivering clear, actionable insights to business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (completed and verified prior to start).
- Five (5) years of experience in pricing analytics, business analytics, commercial finance, or related analytical roles in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Advanced experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and data visualization.
- Knowledge of SQL.
Skills and Expertise
- Specialization/Master’s/MBA, preferably in Business Analytics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields.
- Experience with pricing strategy, margin analysis, and commercial performance reporting.
- Knowledge of analytics platforms and languages such as Python, Snowflake, Azure, or AWS.
- Exposure to ERP, CRM, and enterprise data environments such as SAP and other legacy systems.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets across multiple business functions.
- Proven track record in translating business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into business recommendations.
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong data management experience, including data validation, cleansing, and governance.
- Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
Work Location
This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the Maplewood, Minnesota office. Travel may include up to 20% domestic.
