Senior Prenatal Implementation Engineer

Duties
- Perform on-site Application Qualification of systems.
- Provide training to customers on both automated liquid handling/imaging instrumentation and platform specific software.
- Perform troubleshooting of applications for NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing) assay as well as instrument service as needed.
- Perform demonstrations to potential customers on both instrumentation and software.
- Conduct post deployment support including but not limited to: SOP implementation and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to technical root cause activities to identify and alleviate roadblocks internally and with customers.
- Act as the subject matter expert during customer-facing activities.
- Provide and deliver product training to customers as new features/functionality are available for designated products.
- Understand customers’ current and future needs and participate in the development strategy to address those needs.
- Provide key technical input and consultation to product management concerning voice-of-customer, market trends, and relevant applications for development of future products.
- Drive execution of turn-key applications development for respective markets.
- Act as a subject matter expert and influencer to the R&D organization during development of improved products.
- Collaborate with all Field Team members to develop and deploy world-class systems and tools and provide frontline support to sales as a Product Specialist.
- Present a professional image at all times to customers, clients, and other vendors.
- Position requires evenings and weekends on call.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, or related; and 3 years of experience in the job title/occupation/position providing biotechnology support in a clinical prenatal/diagnostics laboratory testing environment.
- Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with each of the following: Hamilton Star/Starlet equipment; and cfDNA Extraction equipment. Experience specified must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: Clinical Imaging equipment; and Supporting testing equipment and clinical testing workflows.
- Up to 15% domestic and international travel, as necessary.
Compensation Range
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $125,923.00 - $143,000.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
