Prenatal Educator

Responsibilities

• Provides perinatal education to registered participants.
• Participates in the orientation of new educators.
• Affords assistance to instructors/students at the College of Nursing.
• Facilitates the application of research findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related area, or equivalency.
• Membership in a nationally recognized childbirth education or lactation organization within three months of hire, if not an RN.
• Certification by a nationally recognized childbirth education or lactation organization must be obtained within two years of hire.
• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system, obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Required: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Utah.
• Preferred: Two years of experience in perinatal education and current childbirth education certification.
