Job Summary

The Senior Practice Manager- Primary Care position is located at Memorial City. The role includes managing staff, ensuring quality and productivity, and assisting in strategic and operational objectives.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: At least five years of clinical healthcare experience, with at least two years in a managerial role
  • Licenses and Certifications: Preferred - Practice Management Certification

Essential Functions

  • Manages selection, scheduling, supervision, retention, and evaluation of employees
  • Provides development and mentoring of staff
  • Facilitates and promotes effective team dynamics

  • Meets or exceeds department turnover goals

Service Essential Functions

  • Plans and organizes day-to-day department operations
  • Serves as a first-line contact for physicians and staff
  • Serves on various entity committees

Quality/Safety Essential Functions

  • Ensures a safe and effective working environment
  • Monitors and/or revises the department safety plan
  • Monitors and confirms staff maintain required credentials
  • Optimizes information systems to enhance operations
  • Monitors and improves department workflow
  • Adopts lean principles in driving process improvements
  • Maintains compliance with policies, procedures, and System HR Standards of Practice

Finance Essential Functions

  • Develops and manages department budget
  • Manages/audits department expenses
  • Develops staffing plans and schedules
  • Implements department strategies to achieve financial targets
  • Monitors charge capture and co-payment collections
  • Manages petty cash batches and deposits
  • Ensures accurate timekeeping and payroll

Growth/Innovation Essential Functions

  • Identifies and implements innovative solutions for practice or workflow changes
  • Evaluates processes and recommends action plans for change
  • Builds strategic relationships between areas and teams
  • Identifies developmental needs and takes appropriate action
