Role Summary
The role of Senior Power Platform Engineer is an individual level contributor who will lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, enterprise-grade applications using low-code/no-code platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft Power Platform.
This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to transform requirements into well-architected solutions, drive delivery quality (CI/CD, testing, observability), establish governance guardrails, and accelerate digital outcomes across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery
- Lead design, configuration, development, and deployment of LCNC solutions from discovery through hyper care.
- Convert business requirements and process maps into robust applications, automation, workflows, and integrations.
- Own release planning, deployment pipelines, and production readiness (risk, rollback, monitoring).
- Power Platform Responsibilities
- Design and build model-driven and canvas apps, leveraging Dataverse for secure and scalable data storage.
- Develop Power Automate flows (cloud and desktop) for process automation and system integration.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards
- Create and maintain custom connectors, PCF controls, and reusable components for enterprise-wide use.
- Implement ALM best practices using Solutions, Power Platform Pipelines, and Azure DevOps/GitHub for CI/CD.
- Enforce environment strategy (Dev/Test/Prod), DLP policies, and RBAC for compliance and governance.
- Integrate Power Platform apps with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and external APIs (REST, Graph API).
- Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues across apps, flows, and connectors; ensure high availability and resilience.
- Apply secure-by-design principles including encryption, secrets management, and conditional access.
- Monitor and maintain observability using Power Platform Admin Center, App Insights, and analytics dashboards.
- Architecture & Integration
- Design modular, reusable components (controls, connectors, templates) with API-first principles.
- Integrate with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, data warehouses, SaaS) using REST/GraphQL, webhooks, OData, and message queues.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability; conduct load testing and capacity planning.
- Governance, Security & Compliance
- Implement tenant/environment strategies, DLP policies, RBAC, ALM, and solution lifecycle management.
- Ensure data privacy, encryption, auditability, and compliance (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, SOX, HIPAA/PHI as applicable).
- Champion secure-by-design: secrets management, least privilege, proactive threat modeling.
- DevOps & Quality Engineering
- Establish CI/CD for LCNC (Power Platform Pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Define test strategies (unit, integration, UI, regression), implement automated testing where supported, and codify quality gates.
- Instrument observability (logs, metrics, traces), SLOs/SLIs, dashboards, and alerts; drive incident response/playbooks.
- Product & Stakeholder Management
- Facilitate discovery workshops, backlog creation, and prioritization; maintain high signal in user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with UX, business owners, and architects to balance speed, maintainability, and compliance.
- Mentor junior developers and citizen developers; run enablement sessions and code reviews.
