About the role

As a Senior Portfolio Management Assistant, you will provide operational, analytical, and general administrative support to a team of equity portfolio managers in Boston, MA. This role is ideal for a diligent problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and can prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with several portfolio management teams to support portfolio construction and implementation, including:
    • Monitoring portfolio cash and holdings
    • Accurately entering equity trade orders into investment systems
    • Providing daily, monthly, and quarterly portfolio reporting
    • Ensuring portfolios align with client guidelines and applicable regulations
  • Act as the primary point of contact between portfolio management teams and internal business partners (Compliance, Operations, Technology, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot issues, lead teams through operational and technological changes, and participate in platform implementation
  • Provide basic administrative support, including travel arrangements, expense reporting, and scheduling meetings
  • Gain exposure to equity investing or other aspects of asset management based on your interests

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and levels
  • Curiosity in financial markets, asset management, and leadership competencies
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; interest in programming languages and ability to quickly learn specialized investment systems
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness
  • A collaborative, can-do attitude

Applicants must have valid work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT/OPT, TN).

Schedule

This is an in-office role requiring at least four (4) days per week on-site, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week.

Pay

The estimated base salary for this role is $76,700 - $90,000 per year. Total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location, and may include variable pay such as bonuses or commissions.
