About the role

The Senior PMO Manager will build, enhance, and govern the processes, tools, and operating mechanisms that enable consistent, efficient, and high-quality program execution across the Brooklyn Center facility, which positively impacts 14 million patients each year. This role provides strategic leadership in defining how programs are planned, resourced, reviewed, and measured, ensuring PMO frameworks align with business priorities and portfolio needs. The candidate will establish strong relationships with peers to execute similar processes both within the operating unit and across the enterprise, fostering operational excellence across the product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Leads or leverages cross-functional teams to evaluate, develop, and manage projects for key business processes.
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience including broad multi-functional business experience along with 5+ years of people management experience, OR an Advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience including broad multi-functional business experience in a highly regulated environment, along with 5+ years of people management experience.
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Skills

  • Previous program management experience.
  • Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics in a matrix environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a trusted role with stakeholders in coordinating multiple functions across organizations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level systems (ERP, PDM, PLM, SAP, ALM, etc.).
  • Experience managing teams across different geographies remotely.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiating, planning, organizing teamwork, conflict resolution, and problem-solving under resource constraints.
  • Strong written communication skills.

Pay

Salary range for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico): $149,600.00 – $224,400.00 USD. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive through the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

U.S. work authorization sponsorship (e.g., H-1B, TN, J) is offered exclusively for Principal-level roles and above. Roles below the Principal level require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
