Description

Drive improvements to manufacturing processes using data-driven methodologies and structured problem-solving techniques
Plan and execute validation activities for new equipment, tooling, and production processes
Analyze performance data to identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and expected outcomes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D and operations to ensure manufacturability of new products
Create and refine technical specifications for equipment and production systems
Support the transition of new processes into full-scale production, including training and documentation
Establish control plans and monitoring systems to sustain process improvements
Contribute to broader operational excellence initiatives across multiple sites
Act as a technical liaison between engineering, production, and project teams

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Plastics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (Mechanical or Industrial considered with relevant experience)
  • 5-9 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, process validation, and root cause problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma tools)
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and professional development
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international)

Preferred

  • Experience with statistical software such as Minitab
  • Background in plastics, textiles, or related manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with web-based or converting processes
