Essential Job Functions
- Utilize appropriate statistical and data analysis tools within a structured problem-solving approach to characterize and improve existing processes, and to translate customer requirements into repeatable and capable manufacturing processes.
- Plan, execute, and analyze multi-phase validation runs to determine if new equipment, processes, and tooling meet functional performance requirements.
- Develop and maintain Project Charters and Implementation Plans (includes establishing project scope, anticipated gains, required resources, timelines, etc.).
- Act as technical liaison to development groups, participate on design/project review teams.
- Develop product and equipment specifications to ensure resulting processes are manufacturing capable.
- Support transfer of project solutions or new processes to on-going operations, through operator training and development of standard operating procedures, where applicable.
- Establish and implement control plans to ensure project gains and improvements are realized and maintained over time.
- Understand and contribute to the development of the operational strategy that in turn drives Operational Excellence activity regionally and globally.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Chemical or Plastics Engineering with 5-9 years industry experience.
- Mechanical, industrial, or other related Engineering fields considered with relevant knowledge and experience.
- Knowledge of applied statistics, process validation, root cause analysis and Six Sigma Tools.
- Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office software.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to self-pace learn including book, web-based, and classroom participation.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally. (
Desired Qualifications
- Experience utilizing Mini Tab statistical software.
- Knowledge of textile and/or plastics manufacturing processes.
- Experience with web management and converting processes.
