Essential Job Functions

  • Utilize appropriate statistical and data analysis tools within a structured problem-solving approach to characterize and improve existing processes, and to translate customer requirements into repeatable and capable manufacturing processes.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze multi-phase validation runs to determine if new equipment, processes, and tooling meet functional performance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain Project Charters and Implementation Plans (includes establishing project scope, anticipated gains, required resources, timelines, etc.).
  • Act as technical liaison to development groups, participate on design/project review teams.
  • Develop product and equipment specifications to ensure resulting processes are manufacturing capable.
  • Support transfer of project solutions or new processes to on-going operations, through operator training and development of standard operating procedures, where applicable.
  • Establish and implement control plans to ensure project gains and improvements are realized and maintained over time.
  • Understand and contribute to the development of the operational strategy that in turn drives Operational Excellence activity regionally and globally.

Minimum Job Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Chemical or Plastics Engineering with 5-9 years industry experience.
  • Mechanical, industrial, or other related Engineering fields considered with relevant knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge of applied statistics, process validation, root cause analysis and Six Sigma Tools.
  • Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to self-pace learn including book, web-based, and classroom participation.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally. (

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience utilizing Mini Tab statistical software.
  • Knowledge of textile and/or plastics manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with web management and converting processes.
