About the role

The Senior Planner at Edward Jones is a key member of the High Net Worth team, responsible for delivering a comprehensive financial planning experience to clients. This role requires a strong background in financial planning, experience with complex financial planning concepts, and a commitment to putting clients first.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a conduit between the financial advisor, client, and home office stakeholders to achieve client objectives.
  • Leverage the High Net Worth team and external subject matter experts to deliver a personalized holistic financial plan with tax and legal advice.
  • Partner with Financial Advisors to lead the team of Home Office and third-party experts to deliver an end-to-end HNW client experience.
  • Engage in client goal discovery, formulate financial planning recommendations, and act as a fiduciary to the client's financial plan.
  • Develop and execute HNW team objectives, accountability measures, and drive team performance.
  • Lead strategy and guidance for presentations and customized solutions to home-office associates, branches, and clients.
  • Act as an advanced subject matter expert in Financial Planning, Discovery, and other areas of client-specific emphasis.
  • Provide strategic thought, people leadership, and execution.

Requirements

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or Law required.
  • 10+ years of industry-specific experience required.
  • Series 7, 66 licenses required within 6 months of hire.
  • Insurance license required within 6 months of hire.
  • Travel required up to 20%.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree; CPA, JD, CFA, or additional financial planning certification preferred.
  • Experience working within a Talent Capability or Generations Hub, with a minimum of four in-office days per week, except for business offsite.
