About the role
The Edward Jones Generations® team provides an end-to-end, high net worth (HNW) client experience by partnering with our branch teams to provide ongoing client services including holistic financial planning, tax and estate planning services via trusted 3rd parties, plan implementation via expanding sets of Edward Jones products and services, and ongoing reporting and support.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Planner, Financial Advisor, and high net worth team to deliver an end-to-end HNW client experience.
- Partner with financial advisors and HNW clients to gain understanding of client's needs, collect and document client goals, and provide key inputs into creating the client's holistic financial plan.
- Partner with the Senior Planner and subject matter experts on the HNW team to create a holistic, customized financial plan for clients as well as aid in the creation and delivery of other client deliverables and recommendations.
- Support the Senior Planner and HNW team in consolidating client recommendations, deliverables, and support the delivery of advice and financial planning strategies for complex HNW clients at the direction of the Senior Planner.
- Contribute to department goals, projects, and initiatives to better serve HNW branch teams and clients.
- Have a strong understanding of upcoming rules/regulations and impacts to their area of expertise and financial planning concepts.
- Support the Senior Planner in delegating tasks and coordinating across the HNW team to meet the needs of our HNW clients and branch teams.
- Understand Financial Advisor and Branch Team Support Member(s) processes including the implementation of Core Wealth, Banking, and Financial Planning offerings.
- Able to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance to support the branch in creating a tailored solution for each client.
- Proficient in using financial planning software or tools and interpreting results.
- Deep understanding of financial planning concepts and application.
- Work closely with Financial Advisors to build relationships with High Net Worth clients and prospects via strong financial planning guidance and support new business opportunities and deliver on established growth metrics.
Requirements
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) required, or CFP in progress to be completed within 9 months of starting role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Law required.
- Series 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hire.
- Insurance license required within 6 months of hire.
- 7+ years of industry specific experience required.
- Travel required up to 15%.
- Client facing experience required.
- Broad knowledge of branch teams and branch structure.

- Advanced degree (preferred).

- Strong financial planning skills.
- Ability to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance.
- Proficiency in financial planning software or tools.
- Understanding of upcoming rules/regulations and impacts to their area of expertise.
