About the Team
Do you have a desire to be a part of the wealth management process? Do you have a strong background in financial planning and experience with complex financial planning concepts? What about a deep understanding of the Financial Advisor role and serving clients? The Edward Jones Generations™ team provides an end-to-end, high net worth (HNW) client experience by partnering with our branch teams to provide ongoing client services including holistic financial planning, tax and estate planning services via trusted 3rd parties, plan implementation via expanding sets of Edward Jones products and services, and ongoing reporting and support.
We’re looking for strategic thinkers and collaborators who have a strong background in the many complex needs of financial planning as well as a deep desire to put their clients first in everything they do.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a conduit between the financial advisor, client, and home office stakeholders to achieve the client’s objectives through an unparalleled experience via an ongoing relationship.
- Leverage the High Net Worth team and other internal/external subject matter experts (e.g., tax, estate, investment management, business owner, executive compensation, insurance) to deliver a personalized holistic financial plan with tax and legal advice.
- Partner with Financial Advisors and lead a team of home office and third-party experts to deliver an end-to-end HNW client experience, including client goal discovery, formulating financial planning recommendations, and acting as a fiduciary to the client's financial plan.
- Develop and execute HNW team objectives, accountability measures, and drive team performance (feedback, training, and coaching) in support of department and firm objectives.
- Lead strategy and guidance for presentations delivered through multiple communication channels, delivering customized solutions and plans by explaining complex concepts in an understandable and actionable manner.
- Act as an advanced subject matter expert in financial planning, discovery, and other client-specific areas, understanding broad market opportunities and translating them into strategic initiatives.
- Drive firm strategy, knowledge, and interpretation of rules and potential rule changes related to your area of expertise.
- Perform as a subject matter expert on advanced and evolving topics, tools, or client solutions for branches through webinars, field-based training, and content development.
- Provide strategic thought leadership, people leadership, and execution, leading your own team and collaborating with matrixed counterparts to deliver value to stakeholders.
- Build relationships with High Net Worth clients and prospects through strong financial planning guidance, supporting new business opportunities and growth metrics.
Requirements
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or Law required.
- 10+ years of industry-specific experience required.
- Series 7 and 66 licenses required within 6 months of hire.
- Insurance license required within 6 months of hire.
- Travel required up to 20%.
- This role requires candidates to work from our Dallas, TX hub.
- Colleagues assigned to work within a Talent Capability or Generations Hub are expected to work a minimum of four in-office days per week.
Qualifications
- Series 24 license (preferred).
- Advanced degree: CPA, JD, CFA, or additional financial planning certification (preferred).
