About the Role
This position involves a mix of media negotiating, campaign analysis, relationship management, team leadership, and digital strategy. You’ll collaborate across teams to drive impactful media campaigns and mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Media Negotiating & Buying (25%)
- Oversee and assist in RFP creation, review partner responses, and compile proposal analysis.
- Drive partner negotiations and ensure accuracy of insertion orders in internal systems.
- Collaborate with partners, creative agencies, and biddable activation teams (Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic).
- Work with Horizon Media teams (Business Solutions, Investment) on 360 partnerships.
- Reporting & Analysis (25%)
- Monitor and report on media campaigns, communicating optimization opportunities and challenges.
- Analyze ad verification and ad server data to draw actionable insights.
- Provide accurate data for dashboards and Excel trackers.
- Communicate optimization strategies across display, mobile, social, and video.
- Relationship Management (15%)
- Develop strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Adjust project timelines and communicate changes to leadership.
- Apply industry and client-specific knowledge to enhance relationships.
- Team Management & Delegation (15%)
- Mentor junior team members (Assistant Planners, Planners) and contribute to their development.
- Schedule check-ins to identify career growth opportunities.
- Guide team goal-setting, task delegation, and timeline management.
- Share best practices, media principles, and industry trends.
- Participate in interviews for Assistant/Planner roles.
- Digital Media Strategy (15%)
- Collaborate on strategy and guide plan development using Horizon’s planning tools.
- Ensure digital strategy aligns with overall brand communication goals.
- Participate in brainstorms for plan and consideration set development.
- Monitor digital trends and apply insights to campaign strategy.
- Assist in creating media plans, objectives, and strategy decks.
- Campaign Management & Execution (5%)
- Oversee trafficking, site tagging, and ensure proper campaign functionality.
- Verify accuracy of specs documents and creative materials.
- Delegate post-launch tasks (screenshots, links, placement proof).
- Work on mid-campaign reconciliation, billing, pacing, and brand safety.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of digital media experience.
- Knowledge of digital channels and buying methods (video, display, programmatic, social).
- Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics, and concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience negotiating and constructing digital media plans.
- Competence with media planning tools (e.g., media management systems, billing systems).
- Mastery of third-party ad servers and ad verification (DCM, Double Verify, Innovid preferred).
- Familiarity with biddable channels and partner direct.
Pay
Salary range: $1,275.00 to $1,538.00 per week. Actual pay may vary based on skill sets, experience, training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
