Senior Piping Designer

Responsibilities

• Provide support to piping designers with less experience, as needed
• Read and understand design criteria for specified design
• Gather supporting documents and information for assigned tasks
• Review and understand supplier and subcontractor documentation
• Develop piping models and generate the typical suite of piping drawings
• Become familiar with in-house standard details and work processes
• Afford assistance with the development of drawings to facilitate transport and module assembly execution where applicable
• Cook and work closely with other disciplines, the structural team in particular to ensure overall accuracy and quality of the end product
• Focus on one or more of the following tasks during project assignment
• Piping design and detailing
• Facilitate preparation of material bills and/or documents required for requisitioning and subcontracts packages
• Review documentation submitted by manufacturers, fabricators and/or subcontractors

Qualifications

• 5 - 8 years of relevant piping experience
• Associate degree in CAD or similar design degree is required
• Experienced in working with Microstation or Autocad as well as Smartplant 3D (S3D)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
