Senior Pharmacy Technician

Careers With Purpose at Sanford Health is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Marshfield Clinic. This position is responsible for compounding, preparing, and dispensing medical prescriptions, maintaining drug inventory, and coordinating departmental quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions under the supervision of pharmacists.
- Maintains drug inventory and stock control systems.
- Aids pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medical prescriptions.
- Enters, accesses, and retrieves data using computers.
- Establishes and maintains patient profiles, including medication lists and new prescription requests.
- Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
- Coordinates departmental quality assurance and other client-focused services.
- Creates and maintains a safe working environment and adheres to state laws and regulations.
- Projects and works on tasks requiring problem resolution, new solution generation, and looking beyond immediate problems.
- Modifies existing tools, techniques, and processes with approval from leadership.
- Serves as a resource for leadership and staff, and mentors others.
- Leads in resolving day-to-day challenges.
- Supports compliance with accepted standards and laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy.
- Ensures policies and procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, including leading work guidance to others.
- Must maintain annual registration as a Pharmacy Technician through the State Board of Pharmacy in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state privileges as required by position.
- Must complete required hours of Pharmacy Technician continuing education.

Pay & Schedule
Salary range: $19.15 - $30.50 per hour. Eligible for a $1,500 Sign-On Bonus. Shift: 10 Hours - Night Shifts. Job Schedule: Full time. Weekly Hours: 35.00.
