About the role

This role is a critical addition to our Pharmacy Benefits Management practice, involving significant interaction with clients, Mercer consultants, and other resources to establish Mercer as a leading consultant in pharmacy issues.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead strategic pharmacy advisor for a group of select mid-market and national accounts, managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design review, contract renewal, business placement, and benchmarking.
  • Identify current provider performance gaps and make recommendations to control spend and trend.
  • Upsell Mercer pharmacy solutions.
  • Leverage Mercer’s size and reputation to negotiate highly competitive Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) contracts.
  • Lead successful regional and national marketing pursuits.
  • Delegate effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to project team members.
  • Manage day-to-day account/project management for key MercerRx clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Minimum of 8 years of consulting or other relevant experience in the pharmacy managed care industry.
  • Superior analytical, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.

Qualifications

  • MBA or PharmaD highly valued.
  • Strong client-facing experience.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills.

Pay

  • The applicable base salary range for this role is $132,500 to $265,000.

Schedule

  • All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week.
