About the role
This role is a critical addition to our Pharmacy Benefits Management practice, involving significant external and internal interaction with clients, Mercer consultants, and other resources.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead strategic pharmacy advisor for a group of select mid-market and national accounts, managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design review, contract renewal, business placement, and benchmarking.
- Identify current provider performance gaps and make recommendations to control spend and trend.
- Upsell Mercer pharmacy solutions.
- Leverage Mercer’s size and reputation to negotiate highly competitive Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) contracts.
- Lead successful regional and national marketing pursuits.
- Delegate effectively to provide developmental opportunities to team members.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to project team members.
- Manage day-to-day account/project management for key MercerRx clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of consulting or other relevant experience in the pharmacy managed care industry.
- Superior analytical, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.
Qualifications
- MBA or PharmaD highly valued.
- Strong client-facing experience.
- Excellent organization and project management skills.

Pay
- The applicable base salary range for this role is $132,500 to $265,000.
Schedule
- All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week.
