Senior Personal Banker

Responsibilities
- Engage with business unit subject matter experts to explore potential client opportunities.
- Maintain and provide holistic advice on assigned client relationships by cross-selling and identifying client needs.
- Execute and submit client account servicing activities within appropriate time frames, including processing wires and fund transfers, opening and closing accounts, maintaining accurate and complete account records, imaging of documents, and researching client issues.
- Proactively communicate with relationship management and NCSS teams to obtain necessary information to properly execute requested activities.
- Handle paying and receiving activities, including cash transactions and daily balancing activities.
- Comply with WM Lobby Banking Operations policies and procedures as documented on the WM Intranet.
- Maintain and service Safe Deposit Boxes in offices where available.
- Set up all types of client accounts and services, ensuring documentation is complete and following through to avoid deficiencies.
- Maintain a strong understanding of policies and procedures and address requirements in a timely manner, escalating issues and concerns to management as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest enhancements to Northern Trust's partner and client technology, seeking to expand knowledge and maintain high standards of servicing.
- Monitor banking reports and provide assistance with banking audits as directed by the Team Leader/Manager.
- Serve as a mentor to fellow Personal Bankers, offering guidance, encouragement, and direction as needed.
- Share expertise in the deposit area of the bank and train others as designated by the Team Leader/Manager.
Requirements
- Knowledge of banking operations, products, and services, preferably gained through related work experience.
- Understanding of federal regulations and banking guidelines, often acquired through related work experience or formal training.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to identify, research, and resolve requests, manage conflicting priorities, and organize workflow.
- Ability to think critically and work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- At least 3-5 years of related experience.
