Senior Permit Coordinator

About the role

The CFC permitting department issues permits for filming on all state-owned and operated beaches, parks, buildings, roads and open acreage. Under the supervision of the Permit Manager of the California Film Commission, the Analyst performs analytical research and evaluation for the issuance of film permits, which includes supporting governmental and managerial programs that pertain to permitting a state property.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting governmental and managerial programs that pertain to permitting a state property.
  • Consulting with location professionals, production companies, and government departments as well as analyzing permit requests.
  • Providing training to fellow employees.
  • Working on and making recommendations for an efficient permitting system.
  • Ensuring prompt, accurate, and efficient service delivery to a constituent base of production companies involved in shooting still photographs, videos, commercials, television, feature films, digital media, and college student projects.

Requirements

Hybrid: As a result of the Governor’s executive order, GO-Biz employees will be required to come into the office in Los Angeles at least four times a week, projected to be effective July 1, 2026.
