Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance, and implementation of Performance Improvement standard operating documents (SODs), ensuring strategic alignment with organizational goals and compliance standards across multiple departments.
- Expertly analyze and interpret corrective action data and performance metrics, providing detailed reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct advanced analysis of performance data to identify systemic issues and trends, leveraging CAP data, self-assessments, benchmarking, operating experiences, and performance indicators to drive organizational change.
- Take a leadership role in CAP investigations and condition screenings, guiding teams to provide structured insights and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for cross-functional teams, fostering a strong culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Lead the development and refinement of performance indicators, ensuring they are actionable and aligned with both short-term and long-term organizational objectives.
- Oversee the coordination and preparation of materials for Performance Improvement meetings and CAP review board meetings, facilitating high-level discussions with senior leadership.
- Provide executive-level weekly and monthly status reports, synthesizing complex data into strategic insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Independently lead and oversee teams in conducting comprehensive cause analysis tasks, ensuring high-quality, actionable outcomes that drive performance improvements.
- Direct initiatives to enhance Performance Improvement software and related tools, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that user needs are effectively addressed and integrated into system updates.
- Other duties as assigned by the Performance Improvement Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- BS, BA in applicable field (e.g., math, science, engineering, or business administration)
- 10+ years' experience in a nuclear performance improvement or corrective action program work environment preferred
- Root Cause analysis or cause analysis experience preferred.
- Experience working with government organizations such as Department of Energy (DOE) and/or the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (MRC), as well as industry groups like the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) is preferred.
- Strong customer service and training skills and a desire to achieve results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerBI.
- Experience working with Confluence, JIRA, INPO IRIS, and Devonway.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong oral and written technical communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Skilled in setting priorities.
- Excellent analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.
